Mark John Hawrylo II, 55, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at his family home in Geneva, OH.
Mark was born on November 9, 1970, in Flint, Michigan, to Karen and Mark Hawrylo. He spent much of his life in Ohio, where he built meaningful connections through both his work and personal life.
He graduated from Carmen-Ainsworth High School and went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Social Work from Ferris State University. He later received his Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan.
He was previously married to Julie Hawrylo, they wed on May 8, 1999, in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Mark was a compassionate and dedicated therapist who was always eager to help in any way possible. He went above and beyond for his patients, known for his kindness, empathy, and the genuine care he showed to everyone he encountered. His work was not just a profession, but a reflection of his big heart and deep commitment to others.
Mark had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in nature and animals. He was a devoted University of Michigan fan and enjoyed spending his time embracing the simple pleasures of life. His connection to the natural world and his appreciation for it were a central part of who he was.
He is survived by his children, Hope Hawrylo and Ariel Hawrylo; and his siblings, Luke Hawrylo and Matthew Hawrylo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Karen Hawrylo and Mark Hawrylo I; and his grandparents, Mildred Hawrylo, Stanley Hawrylo, Floyd Gibbs, and Mary Jean Robinson.
Mark will be remembered for his generous spirit, his compassion, and the lasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him.
