Mark Allen Pete "Hound Dog" age 64 of Painesville, Ohio passed away Monday January 15, 2024, at Harbor Care Assisted Living in Fairport Harbor, Ohio after a short hard fight with cancer.
He was born June 5, 1959, at Lake County Memorial Hospital in Painesville, Ohio to Jeanne and Allen Pete. In 1977, he graduated from Painesville Riverside High School and the Auburn Career Center where he studied autobody. Mark was a Master Mechanic at Bob's Garage in Painesville where he was known to do exceptional work.
Mark enjoyed camping with his family and friends, NASCAR, NHRA, all forms of Stock Car Racing, football and baseball.
He is survived by his father, Allen Pete of Painesville, Ohio; daughter, Pamela (Jarret) Holman of Brookville, Indiana; grandchildren, Able, Owen, Zora, and Elia Holman all of Brookville, Indiana; siblings, Tom (Bobbi) Pete and Phil (Michelle) Pete both of Painesville, Ohio; niece, Beth Piercy-Mocz; nephews, Chase Pete and Gale (Caitlin) Piercy; ex-wife, Johnna Wilson.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Pete.
The family will have a Celebration of Life in the beginning of June, date to be announced at a later time.
In place of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Harbor Care Assisted Living, 1380 East Street, Fairport Harbor, Ohio 44077 or Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to Hospice of the Western Reserve for the wonderful care given to Mark and his family during the last weeks of his journey.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
