Marshall "Corky" Gilan, 73, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was born on September 5, 1951, in Cleveland, OH, to parents Reynard and Vellah Gilan and was a graduate of Shaw High School in East Cleveland, OH. On May 3, 1975, he married Beverly Doedderlein in South Euclid, OH and together they shared 49 years of love and memories.
Marshall worked for over 40 years as a machinist before retiring. He was an avid bowler and even received a "300" ring for bowling a perfect game. He also loved fishing and watching all Cleveland professional sports.
Marshall is survived by his wife Beverly (Doedderlein) Gilan; children, Victoria (William) Aumend, Michelle Gilan; siblings, Vellah (Robert) Dennis, Raymond (Paula) Gilan, Terri Ludwig, Nick Gilan, Val (Kathy) Gilan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reynard and Vellah (Walter) Gilan.
A Funeral Service will be held at 5:30pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio 44041. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his name to Traditions Hospice, 677 Highland Dr, Highland Hts 44143 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services of Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
