Mary Beth Brewer (nee Gehring), age 67, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away February 9, 2026, in Madison, Ohio at the home of her daughter surrounded by loved ones.

Mary was born on June 15, 1958 in Los Angeles California to Nancy Gehring and later adopted by her father Harold Gehring in 1962. Mary graduated from Fairview High School in Fairview, Pennsylvania in The Class of 1976.

Mary received her Class A CDL and was a proud owner and operator of her own trucking company - Brewer Trucking. When she wasn't "on the road" she was a tremendous artist, loved calligraphy, enjoyed listening to music, watching her favorite shows, taking care of her pool and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her children, Anthony D. Brewer M.D. and his wife Sarah; Veronica J. Freelove and Amy M. Phelps and her fiancé Kyle Ward; her granddaughters Julianna Brewer, Emma Brewer and Lorelai Ward; her mother Nancy Gehring; siblings Commander (Ret) Scott Gehring and his wife Janet of Alexandria, Virginia, and Jocelyn Cadieux and wife Valerie (née Gehring) of Alexandria, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Gehring; her maternal grandparents August and Marie (nee Ohmer) Sopp; her paternal grandparents Anthony and Elsie (nee Krueger) Gehring; her youngest sibling Craig A. Gehring; her niece, Elsa Gehring and her beloved dog, Khloe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 18, 2026, at The Perry Community Center located at 2800 Perry Park Rd, Perry, Ohio 44081 from 3 pm to 8 pm and her ashes will be spread at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Erie, Pennsylvania on a later date.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 29801 Lakeland Blvd. Wickliffe, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
