Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Chadwick 74, of Ravenna, OH entered into God's kingdom on October 17th, 2023. Mary was born April 11, 1949, to Beatrice and Harold Chadwick in Lansing, MI.
Mary moved to the Cleveland, Ohio area with her mother, Bea, when she was 5 years old. As she grew older, she stayed in the area for many years while marrying and raising a family. In 1992, she moved to Laingsburg, Michigan and created a new life for herself that included her immediate family in the area. While living in the area, Mary attended and was a deaconess at the First Congregational Church of Laingsburg.
In her lifetime, Mary had a work ethic that was second to none. She worked as a bus driver, over the road truck driver, and sales associate (to name a few), holding as many as three jobs at once. Mary was also a college graduate, earning a degree in accounting and working as a bookkeeper for many years.
Other than family, her biggest love were horses. Her horse Angel was her constant companion for 20 years. She loved to trail ride and attend rodeos and just be around the barn. While in Michigan, she owned a farm for almost 20 years where she was able to ride. She also loved flea markets, garage sales, motorcycles, car racing, boating, fishing, hunting and sport shooting. Her nickname around the grand kids was "Grannie Oakley", due to her dead eye shooting skills!
Mary was the most loving and devoted mother, and grandmother. She had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation, and her laugh was infectious to everyone around her. She loved to cook, spend time with her family and friends and travel back and forth from Ohio to Michigan. She attended all of the grand kids school events including: band and marching band, cheer leading, football, scouting, and graduations. Perhaps one of her favorite family events was to to attend Sunday dinner get-togethers.
She was married 3 times and remained friends with each of her ex-husbands. She is survived by her daughter, Cheri (Dale) Good; grandchildren, Chad, Zachary, and Sydnie and her faithful dogs, Paco and Ninya, as well as all of her friends and extended family.
She will be dearly and forever missed and loved by all that knew her.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio, assisted the family with arrangements.
