Mary A. McGranor

Mary A. McGranor, 90, of Jefferson, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Jefferson Healthcare.

She was born on March 2, 1936, in Hudson Falls, New York to the late Albert and Lillian (Harden) Taft.

Mary was a wonderful homemaker most of her life. Canning and making homemade sauce was her specialty. She took great pride in her home and loved to feed anyone who visited. She loved her family deeply, and her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Sam (Kathy) Cincotta, Lucy Dragon, Brenda Cincotta, and Gerri (Jeff) Bates; grandchildren, Giovanni Cincotta, Bianca Cincotta, Jim Varketta, Charles Butler, Jordan (Frank) Corey, and Meghan (Jed) Miller; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Lilly Whelband of California.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Merrill McGranor; parents Albert and Lillian (Harden) Taft; brothers, Clifford Taft, Albert Taft, and William “Bill” Taft; son-in-law, Edward Dragon.

No formal services will be held in accordance with her request. There will be a private, family burial at a future date.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the wonderful staff at Jefferson Healthcare for their kindness, support, and comfort during her time there.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
