Mary Oliver, 78, of Jefferson, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 1, 2023 in Geneva, Ohio, surrounded by family.
She was born July 24, 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, and on February 7, 1976, she married Gordon Oliver and together they shared 34 years of love and memories until his passing in 2010.
Mary was a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother to all of her family who will deeply miss her. She was a hard worker and over the years worked at A&P in Andover, Orlando's Supermarket in Kingsville, and owned Oliver's Sales and Service with her husband in Dorset for over 30 years. When not working, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, loved ceramics, dancing, shopping, getting coffee at McDonald's with friends, and especially being with family.
She is survived by her children, Shannon (Brian) Edelman, and Dwayne (Diane) Harmon; grandchildren, Miley Edelman, Brady Edelman, Stephen Harmon (Shannon Dunn), Seth Harmon, Alicia Harmon (David Carter); great-grandchildren, Zeek Harmon, Chase Peake, Izabella Harmon, and Chandler Carter; siblings, Shirley Griffin of TN, Robert Stewart of WV, Ricky Taylor of TX, David Taylor of TX, Delbert Stewart of KY, and Danny Hawkins of TN.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Gordon Oliver on September 28, 2010 and brothers, Tommy and Kenny Stewart.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 6-8pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio.
