Mary Lynn Simmons

Mary Lynn Simmons, 74, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 16, 2026, after a long illness.

Mary was born on July 9, 1952, to Carl and Marjorie Dennis. She graduated from Harbor High School and later attended nursing school. She devoted many years of service to Rae-Ann Geneva, where she was known for her dedication and compassionate care.

Mary found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved reading and completing word searches, hobbies that brought her countless hours of enjoyment. She was a faithful member of the Methodist church.

Mary is survived by her husband, R. Earl Simmons; her daughter, Dawn (Simmons) Pimentel; and her cherished grandchildren, Landon Pimentel, Erik Pimentel, and Eva Pimentel. She is also survived by her brother, James Dennis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Marjorie Dennis, and her brother, Melvin Dennis.

Mary will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet strength, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her kindness and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 5-7pm with a funeral service starting at 5:30pm at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, OH 44041. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Mary's life, share memories, and celebrate the love and legacy she leaves behind. Following the celebration, there will be a light dinner at 7:30pm at Saybrook Methodist Church, 7900 Depot Rd, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
