Matthew Brent Barringer

Matthew Brent Barringer, 64 passed away on July 16, 2026.

Matt shared 39 years with his wife, Kathryn Barringer both of Painesville Top, together they built a family and created lasting memories.

Matt is remembered as a man who impacted the lives of family and friends in many ways and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who knew him. He leaves behind memories, stories and lessons that will be cherished by those who knew him.

Matt is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Michael Barringer, and his father, James Barringer.

Matt is survived by his wife, Kathryn Barringer; his step children, Philip Lawerence Waymack III of Newton, Kansas and Kristine Buchholz of Hays, Kansas. Matt is also survived by his grandchildren Leeah Ramirez and Emma Buchholz, both of Hays, Kansas. Matt also leaves behind Amelia his great grand daughter. Matt is also survived by his mother Linda Mort and his sisters, Nancy, Rose and Julie and a brother, James.

As we remember Matt, we do so with gratitude for the times shared with him and hope that he has found peace and that his breath is effortless.
