Michael William Nichols, Sr.

Michael William Nichols, Sr., age 72, of Austinburg, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, of natural causes.

He was born on August 26, 1954, in Painesville, Ohio to the late William Edward Nichols and Etta Marie Leonard.

Michael worked for many years as an iron worker.

He is survived by his sons, Mike W. Nichols. Jr. and his wife Crystal A. Nichols, and James D. Nichols; grandchildren, Shyann Reynolds, Evan Nichols, Jayce McDivitt, Amber Nichols, Daniel Marino, Chelsea Marino, Michael Marino, Brittany Sprague, Matthew Nichols, James D. Nichols, Jr., Abby Nichols, Dominic Braun, Ella Mae Sprague, Johnathan R. Sprague, Guinavere Nichols, Ezra Slovan, and Niko Holland; siblings, Doug Nichols and Juilette Barns.

Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Rocksann Nichols and parents, William Edward Nichols and Etta Marie Leonard.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12pm on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 2794 Route 307, Austinburg, Ohio 44010.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
