Michele Kathleen (nee Morris) Golden was born March 19, 1965 to Lee and Victoria (nee Botz) Morris, and passed away on January 7, 2026. She was 60.
Michele led her life with love in the form of caregiving. She was a dedicated nurse for over 40 years and spent over a decade working at Governor's Village, where she was beloved by staff and residents alike. If anyone had a health question, Michele was the one to go to.
When Michele loved, she loved hard. She had the most love for her husband of 32 years, Thomas, and daughters, Samantha and Alexandra.
They enjoyed going on family trips together to places such as Washington D.C., Niagara Falls, Daytona Beach, and most of all, Walt Disney World. The car rides there would be filled with Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight," which turned into a staple song for the family.
To pass time, Michele could be found on her iPad, either reading, playing games or catching up on Facebook.
She was an avid watcher of all things Disney (especially "Bluey," "Big City Greens," "Dumbo" and "Winnie the Pooh"), "The Floor" and "The Masked Singer," most of which she watched with Alexandra or cousin Leigh (deceased). She was an enjoyer of Adam Ant, Backstreet Boys, Barry Manilow, Celtic Thunder and The Police.
In honoring her memory, we remember her love for Grover, Dumbo, Tigger, Eeyore, Heat Miser, Snow Miser and her fondness for tigers and elephants; small joys that meant so much to her. These favorites reflected her gentle heart, her humor, and the way she saw the world.
Michele is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughters, Samantha (Jacob) Marinchek, Alexandra Golden (Jacob Hansen); siblings, Julie Morris, Valerie (Scott) Cline, Michael (Deborah) Morris; sister-in-law Tracy (Matt) Grantham; father, Lee Morris; father- and mother-in-law, Patrick and Katherine Golden; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and lifelong friend, Monique Thompson.
She was preceded in death by many loving family members and friends, including mother, Victoria Morris; grandparents, Frank and Victoria Botz, George and Eileen Morris; grandparents-in-law Annabell and Arthur Reimer, Shirley Golden; uncles, Charles Morris, Jesse Avery and Jesse Wilson; aunt, Nancy Morris; cousins, Leigh Avery, Kim Wilson, Robert Morris and Charles Avery.
She will be missed by all.
