Monty Charles Burkhart, 57, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Akron, Ohio. He was from the Geneva area and had spent time in Orlando, Florida. Monty was a great man and father. He loved working at car auctions in Florida and being a driver for the railroad workers in Ashtabula.

He is survived by his son, Shawn Burkhart; daughter, Marla Burkhart (Lesean); granddaughter, Iviey Marie Andrew of Akron; brother, Wiley Burkhart (Betty) of Ashtabula; sisters, Wendy Clayman of Ashtabula, Stephany Perry (Curtis) of Ashtabula, Angelica Lynch (Simeon) of Geneva, and Courtney Santiago (Elvin) of Ashtabula. Also surviving are numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wiley and Jean Burkhart; and sister, Sierra Burkhart. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
