Myra Belle Sorrell was born on March 14, 1958, to Jerome Alfred Sorrell and Shirley Belle Reitsma Sorrell in Dallas, TX. She passed from this life, aged 65, on March 30, 2023.

First and foremost, Myra lived for her kids John and Anne. She graduated from R. L. Turner. She earned her B.S. in Philosophy and Religion from McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. She then went on to earn her Masters in Christian Ministry from Friends University in Wichita, KS. She was very proud of the work she did in the early 90's as the Refugee Resettlement Coordinator of North Texas of Amerasian Resettlement. She was a retired minister in the United Church of Christ in the Kansas and Oklahoma Conference. She loved her grandkids and hated her son's dog Astrid. She always said, "Now remember, Your Grandma Loves You." She was an avid reader, and a connoisseur of all things fudge. Her nickname in Luther League was Fudgey Belle Sorrell after she ate 3 lbs. of fudge on her way home from Mackinac Island to Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Jerry and Shirley Sorrell; and her much beloved husband Jesse "Carl" Joslin.

Myra is survived by her children: John Jerome Werner of the home and Anne Elizabeth Werner Johnson of Florida, Her grandchildren: Nathaniel Rossow, Grace Rossow, Eli Rossow, and Joseph Guerrero. She is also survived by her sister Melissa Chandler (Jimmy), her sister in-laws Sally, Pixie and Sarah and her many Nephews and Nieces that she loved dearly.
