Nancy L. Siekkinen, 77, of Saybrook, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Hillcrest Hospital following a nine-month battle with sepsis.
She was born June 18, 1946, in Ashtabula, Ohio to Andrew and Olga Bayus and remained a lifelong area resident. On May 2, 1966, she married James Siekkinen in Monroe, Michigan and together they shared more than 56 years of love and memories.
Nancy worked for 30+ years as a Finisher with Premix, Inc. and in her spare time enjoyed attending Litehouse Cruisers Car Shows, bowling, and anything to do with flowers. She won several 4-H horse ribbons, bowling awards, and put family and friends first in all that she did and was a true friend who always had your back.
Survivors include her husband, James; daughters, Dawn, Lisa and her son Kenneth, and Danette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Olga Bayus.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 5pm to 7pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio.
In place of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to either Feed the Vets or an animal rescue of your choice.
The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to all who cared for and loved Nancy, especially Dr. Chillcott and the staff at Capital Health.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services of Geneva assisted the family with arrangements.
