Nazario Mendez Pacheco (Junior), 65, of Geneva, Ohio passed away from health complications on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at TriPoint Medical Center in Painesville.
He was born August 15, 1960, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, to parents Gladys Marie Pacheco and Nazario Mendez.
Nazario loved to work and owned and operated his own landscaping business. He later went on to work for many nurseries in Madison and Geneva. He was a member of the Catholic faith, and in his free time, he loved playing Dominoes and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Teachout; children, Nazario T. Mendez Jr., Evelyn Mendez, Jennifer Mendez, Lissette Mendez and Jose Nazario Mendez; stepchildren, Nicole Hall, Brian Hall and Marcos Miranda-Hall; grandchildren, Lorisha Hall, Sierra DeJesus, Justin DeJesus, Felicia DeJesus, Jayden Simon, Ciani Mendez, Miranda Ortiz, Davone Morris and Liana Morris; siblings, Angel Mendez, Ivan Mendez, Nidia Mendez and Dalia Mendez.
Nazario was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys Marie Pacheco and Nazario Mendez; grandchild, Jonael Alexis Salgado; siblings, Jose Mendez and Gladys Rodriguez.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio from 11:00am until the time of service at 12:30pm. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
In place of flowers, contributions can be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home, or you can send a donation directly to the family c/o 114 Everett Road, Painesville, Ohio 44077.
Nazario's family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to everyone who has donated for the funeral.
