Nicholas "Nick" Buck, age 49, of Madison, passed away on February 14th, 2023, at Hillcrest Hospital. Nick was an artist. He could often be found combing the beach for treasures for his collections. He made the most beautiful art with driftwood. Nick was a friend to many; you could always count on him to be there for his friends in need. Nick was a nature lover at heart, he loved animals, and they loved him. He was always up for a camping trip or any outdoor endeavor. He felt society was drifting too far away from what was important. A true environmentalist! The Buckeyes have lost one of their most ardent fans. He could quote football statistics from 20 years past. Nick is survived by his parents Gary and Maryann Bukky; his children, Rylee Carroll, Dylan Gribbons, and Cahlen Buck; siblings, Mandy (Buck) Collins, and Sonny Bukky. He is also survived by his Aunt Sandy Winegord (his 2nd mom); Uncles, Glenn Buck, Buddy Buck, Bly Buck, and Tom Schaffer; His nieces, Rowan, and Lucy Collins; Nephew, Pete Collins; Cousins, Matt Winegord (who was like a brother to Nick), Morgan Winegord, Tim Buck, Tammy Falopeck, Katie Halfhill, Jessica Buck, and Mike Buck. Also surviving Nick is his dear friend and companion Kelly Berry.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sonny and Winnie Podd and Byron and Betty Buck. His uncles, Terry "T.P" Podd and Scott Buck and his Aunt Penny (Buck) Schaffer and Cousin Robbie Buck. At Nick's request there will be no public services, a Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a future date.
