Pamela Joyce Grandbouche Smock

Pamela Joyce Grandbouche Smock, 70, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away on June 24, 2026, in Ashtabula.

Pamela was born on August 27, 1955, in Ashtabula, Ohio, to the late Joyce Grandbouche and Emil Grandbouche. She was a proud graduate of Ashtabula High School and spent her life devoted to her family and loved ones.

Above all else, Pamela was a devoted mother whose love, strength, and unwavering support for her son, Chad was inspiring and admired by those who knew her. She often said he was her best friend and missed him terribly after his passing.

Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce and Emil Grandbouche; her son, Chad Smock; her grandmothers, Ellen Spencer Kohut, and Mabel Grandbouche Woodcock; her grandfathers, Artie Spencer, and Alfred Grandbouche; and her step-grandfather, Paul Kohut. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Jody Doyle and Steven Grandbouche, and her nephew, Kyle Grandbouche.

She is survived by her siblings, Emil Grandbouche Jr. ("Buddy"), Judy Dowler, Lisa Piaser, Jason Grandbouche, and Betsy Grandbouche, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Pamela will be remembered for her caring heart, her dedication to family, and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.
