Pamela “Pam-Pam/Shorty-rock” Wilson, age 71, of Painesville, OH passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at University Hospital in Cleveland, OH.
She was born on September 15, 1954, in Cleveland, OH to the late Nathaniel Johnson and Lillie Belle Pearson. In 1978, she married Anthony Prude in Cleveland, OH and together shared many years of love and memories until his passing.
After graduating from high school, Pamela spent a number of years with the Cleveland Clinic working in housekeeping where she contributed to patient care behind the scenes with diligence and compassion. She later continued her career in an assembler role where her strong work ethic was valued until her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, watching TV shows and was a dedicated student of the Bible and enjoyed attending Bible Study as often as possible. Pamela’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her much pride and happiness.
Pamela is survived by her children, Morio (Jennifer) Stewart, Ebony Stewart and Porscha Prude; her bonus children, Janaya, George Jr, Nyjah and their father George; grandchildren, Jade, Anthony, Ta’sia, Kevin and Kylah; great-grandchildren, Derrick and Bryson; sisters, Simone (Curtis) Jackson, Carla (Floyd) McDade, Juanita Pearson, Elaine and Beverly; brothers, Willie (Jackie) Pearson Jr., Gregory Pearson and Charles (Ariann) Pearson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Prude; parents, Nathaniel Johnson and Lillie Belle Pearson; brother, Jerry Johnson.
A Funeral Service will be held from 5:00pm-6:00pm on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, OH 44041. Calling Hours will be held from 4:00pm until the time of service. Following the service, a private family repast will be held.
The family is grateful to all of Pamela’s friends and family members for their support.
