Patricia Ann "Pat" Chapman, 82, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Monday, January 27, 2025 at Rae Ann Geneva Nursing Home.
Pat was born March 24, 1942 in Conneaut, Ohio to Fred Grant Speer and Leora Pearl Speer (Kitchen) and graduated from Conneaut Rowe High School.
On May 26, 1968 she married Dale Everette Chapman in Conneaut, Ohio and they shared many happy years together until his passing.
Pat worked as a school bus driver in Geneva for over 20 years, drove for ACTS Transportation, and worked in the Geneva school cafeteria. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, coloring, shopping, bowling, visiting residents in Texas nursing home, spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Tricia (Shane) Wahl, Tracy (Phillip) Manis, Joseph (Tammy) Chapman, and stepson, David Chapman; grandchildren, Ashley Ponsart, Alesha Nichols, Kristin Chapman, Kirstin Chapman, Brandi Chapman, Destiny Ponsart, Phillip Jr. Manis, Dawson Manis, Kristina Chapman, Emmy Chapman, and Ashley Wahl; great-grandchildren, Marcus McKinney, Dean Harley, Zachary Nichols, Sam Harley, Bentley Stiver, Zeke Kaufman, Alaina Nichols, Everette Stiver, and Anthony Caruthers.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Everette Chapman; parents, Fred Grant Speer and Leora Pearl Speer (Kitchen); grandson, Mark Ponsart; great-grandson, Colton Nichols; siblings, Dorothy Snow, Bette Snow, Norman Snow, Francis Speer, Richard Speer, Edgeia Speer, Robert Speer, Harry Speer, Luella Chapman, Alice Williams, Flossie Shaffer, and Flora Greenewalt.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-8pm on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the Geneva Community Center, 70 West Main Street, Geneva, Ohio 44041.
The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to Rae Ann Geneva Nursing Home and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the gentle care given to their mom.
