Patrick Ulysses Baxley burst into this world with the tunes from Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers album, bellowing in the background, at home in San Francisco, California to James Edward & Cayce Baxley, on March 21, 1985. He left us all to head to the big fishbowl in the sky on October 30, 2022, at his home in Ashtabula, Ohio. He shared his life with Kodi Palm, her children Reznor & Bella, and their tribe of cats Astrid, Mickey & Crow. Living close by and always in his heart was his cherished son James Patrick Baxley who lived with his mother Jennifer Enniss, and Grandparents Brenda and Danny Enniss. Patrick grew up in Jefferson, Ohio with his parents, his sister Astra & a plethora of cats which there are too many to name.
The loss of a life so vibrant, full, feckless, and all-encompassing is an endeavor we are completely unprepared for. Patrick through the years left a valley full of memories, experiences, and benevolent history.
Over these past 37 years, he blessed, inspired, invoked, enraged, and impacted many lives. The stories are endless, to say the least. The self-proclaimed Grand Poohbah of Everything!! Always there with a helping hand, giving advice, and wisdom (whether you asked for it or not). Compelling conversations packed with knowledge, intrigue, thought-provoking, enraging, powerful things, and witty banter helped us all meander through this journey of life. He had the creative ability to be thrown a topic and create a masterful depiction of it. He was a font of knowledge and if he had no prior knowledge on the subject, he'd convince you otherwise, accuracy notwithstanding. He was a chef and he would create dishes to make your taste buds scream. He nurtured and cared for the most vulnerable; be it a homeless person or an injured animal. Patrick had great empathy for all life. He loved all music, his dad liked to remind him that he shared a birthday with the musical prodigy Johann Sebastian Bach. His musical interests included Classical, Motown, Classic Rock, Blues, Alternative Metal, Grunge Metal, Reggae, Crooner, and Bluegrass. You would hear the sound of Bach bouncing off the walls one minute and then Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Marvin Gaye, Pink Floyd, Frank Sinatra, or BB King the next.
He will perpetually be with us in our hearts, as we are forced to endure holidays, celebrations, and day-to-day life without him.
Forever missed by his son James Patrick, his mother Cayce Baxley, his siblings Astra, James, and sister-in-law Sean, his Aunt Sheila, his cousins William, Reuben, Annie, Reag, Rosy, and Dana, his niece Blake and a list of friends/family that is truly endless. He is reunited with his father James Edward and the beloved ones that have passed before him.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you do a random act of kindness for a soul in need.
The celebration of Patrick's Life will be held Saturday, November 12th, 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Lake Erie Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio.
