Phyllis Jean Minto Hosterman, age 82, of Perry, Ohio, passed away on July 2, 2025. She was born on July 21, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents William and Edith Minto. Phyllis graduated from Boston High School in Peninsula, Ohio, in 1961, then she went on to earn her license to be a Licensed Practical Nurse. She married the love of her life, Stanley Lester Hosterman Sr., in Cleveland, Ohio, on August 24, 1963. Phyllis worked as an LPN with children for many years at UH Rainbows Babies and Children's Hospital, as well as the Slovenian Home and retired from New Avenues. She loved to crochet, play bingo, and camping and traveling the United States. Phyllis is survived by her children, Stanley Lester Hosterman Jr. and Craig Thomas of Las Vegas, Nevada, Desiree Hosterman of Cleveland, Ohio, Christopher Hosterman and Faith Cushman of Perry, Ohio; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Justin and Rebecca Hosterman and their children, Wesley, Layla, Sophia, Justin Jr. (J.J) and Weston Hosterman, Amanda, Jonathon, Cory, Kenisha, and Tamica Hosterman, of Cleveland, Ohio, Emily Hosterman and Dominic, Elaine, Kali and Kylie of Eastlake, Jazzmyn Hosterman of Eastlake, and Katelyn Cushman, and Alex Cushman of Perry, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Lester Hosterman Sr.; parents, William and Edith Minto; grandparents, Alice and Michael Karr; siblings, Peter Minto, Lovenia Minto and Richard Minto.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at Garfield Park, 7967 Mentor Ave, Mentor, Ohio 44060 on August 15, 2025, at 2:00pm. A Private Graveside Burial will take place in the future at the Western Reserve Nation Cemetery with family, where Phyllis will be buried next to her husband Stanley L. Hosterman Sr. Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, Ohio, assisted the family with arrangements. 440-361-2273.
