Hija de los ya fallecidos, Carmelo Torres y Juana Sánchez.
Rafaela se casó con Ángel Miranda Ortiz (QEPD)Juntos procrearon ocho hijos, Aurea (Orlando, QEPD), Awilda (David), Ángel Luis Miranda Jr. (QEPD),
Lourdes (Luis), Ángel Luis conocido "Papo" (Leída), Rafael (Lisa), Elizabeth (José) y Ricardo.
Su Familia le desean informar de su fallecimiento el día 6 de abril del 2026. Rafaela era una madre, abuela bisabuela buena, loca con sus nietos y bisnietos cuando los veía su mundo se alumbraba de luz. Rafaela no solo crio sus hijos también había otros que la consideraban como una segunda madre, especialmente cuando la oían raspando el caldero de arroz, todos corrían para allá y les diera una bolita de "pegao"
El Cuerpo de Rafaela será transportado a Puerto Rico y los servicios fúnebres serán dirigidos por la Funeraria San Blas en Coamo Puerto Rico.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio, asistió a la familia con los arreglos.

She was the daughter of the late Carmelo Torres and Juana Sánchez.
Rafaela married Ángel Miranda Ortiz (may he rest in peace). Together, they raised eight children: Aurea (Orlando, R.I.P.), Awilda (David), Ángel Luis Miranda Jr. (R.I.P.),
Lourdes (Luis), Ángel Luis—known as "Papo"—(Leída), Rafael (Lisa), Elizabeth (José), and Ricardo.
Her family wishes to inform you of her passing on April 6, 2026. Rafaela was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she absolutely adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—whenever she saw them, her world lit up with joy. Rafaela not only raised her own children, but there were others who regarded her as a second mother—especially when they heard her scraping the bottom of the rice pot, at which point everyone would come running to get a little ball of the crispy rice crust, or "pegao."
Rafaela's body will be transported to Puerto Rico, and her funeral services will be conducted by the San Blas Funeral Home in Coamo, Puerto Rico.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio, assisted the family with the arrangements.
