Randy Lee Roberts

Randy Lee Roberts, 67, of Painesville Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 21, 1959, in Painesville, Ohio, to the late Obie and Ivah Roberts.

Randy was a hardworking and talented man whose creativity and mechanical ingenuity were admired by everyone who knew him. He graduated from Riverside High School and attended trade school for welding. Throughout his life, Randy put his skills to work in many ways, including a long career with Avery Dennison, where he worked for 31 years. He also served as a Merchant Mariner for one year and as a Painesville Police Officer.

Known for his inventive mind, Randy had a unique ability to design and build solutions that made work easier and more efficient. He was often recognized for improving machinery and processes through his innovative ideas. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Randy was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Randy enjoyed sports and was a member of the East Side Irish American Club. He was known for his generous spirit, quick thinking, and dedication to family. Above all else, Randy loved his family deeply and always put them first.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Marie Roberts, whom he married on May 4, 2024, in Painesville Township, Ohio. He is also survived by his children, Steven and Kay Roberts, George and Stephanie Harris, Adam Roberts, Amber Roberts, and Keira Roberts; his grandchildren, Matthew Miller, Katelynn Fenner, Logan Harris, and Katie Harris; and his great-grandchildren, Harmonie Fenner and Huey Fenner; and his brother, John Roberts.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Jeanne Oblacznski, William Roberts, and Kenneth Roberts.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to John Roberts, Theresa Bonanno, Mike and Chris Chom, Tim and Robin Murphy, and the dedicated caregivers of Hospice for their kindness, support, and compassion during Randy’s illness.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on September 5, 2026, at Perry Township Cemetery, 3840 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, Ohio 44081. A celebration of Randy’s life will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Red Hawk Bar & Grill, 7481 Auburn Road, Painesville, Ohio 44077.
