Richard Wayne Branham, 70, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025 after battling cancer since the summer of 2022.
He was born March 1, 1954, in Geneva, Ohio to parents Helen and Robert Branham and graduated from Geneva High School. After high school, he studied Music Theory at Lakeland College.
Richard was an entrepreneur who owned and operated North Ridge Music Center providing music sales, service, and lessons to many area musicians in addition to being a private music instructor for over 30 years. Music was his life, and he was a well-known and well-respected musician in northeast Ohio playing lead guitar in numerous country and rock bands from his days in high school until his passing. He also enjoyed golfing, visiting the casino, watching Cleveland sports, and most importantly spending time with his children and 6 grandkids.
He is survived by his children, David (Amber) Branham, and Sarah (Joe) Capela; grandchildren, Liam Branham, Abbey Branham, Clark Branham, Lola Branham, Daphne Branham, and Roland Capela; sister, Rita Hathy.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Helen and Robert Branham; brothers, Michael Branham and William Branham.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 4:00-6:00pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio 44041. A brief graveside burial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Route 84 in Geneva. Following the burial there will be a Celebration of Life from 12:00-3:00pm at Spring Hill Winery, 6062 South Ridge Road West, Geneva, Ohio 44041.
