Richard W. Carlisle

Richard W. Carlisle, 87, of Madison, Ohio passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at the David Simpson Hospice House in Cleveland.

He was born April 9, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio and in his younger years was a boxer. In his later years, he was a huge Cleveland Browns fan and also enjoyed watching high school wrestling. He was a member of the Italian-American Club and a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2243 in Geneva. His greatest joy in life was his family, and his children were first and foremost.

Richard is survived by his children, Richard A. (Donetta) Carlisle, Nicholas (Diane) Carlisle Veneta (Don) Covell and Alex Carlisle; the mother of his children, Martha Ann Fielding; grandchildren, Erin Carlisle, Andrea Carlisle, Nicholas Deveney, Lauren (fiancé Justin) Warholic, Shane (Dani) Safko, Joshua March, Alex Carlisle Jr., and Dominic; great-grandchildren, Nixon, Colton, Vera, June, Oliver, Adelaide, Henry Alexander, Wyatt and Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Daine Carlisle.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 4-7pm at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio 44057. Entombment will follow at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland, Ohio.
