Richard Stevens Jr.

Richard “Rick” L. Stevens, Jr., age 70, passed away suddenly on July 9, 2026, at Lake West Hospital in Willoughby, Ohio. He was born on November 19, 1955, to the late Richard Stevens, Sr. and Hazel Stevens.

Rick spent 33 beautiful years alongside his lifelong love, April Galayda. He leaves behind a legacy defined by his immense musical and singing talent, his infectious laughter, and his playful character—especially his love for getting involved in a good prank. He was a bright light in the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his lifelong partner, April Galayda; his two sons, Sean (Amy) Stevens and Joshua Stevens; and Jacob Trimble and Alana Barnes, whom Rick and April proudly held full custody of and lovingly raised. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Ayden and Connor Stevens, and his sisters, Jeanne, (Sam) McCollough, and Shirley Bradley. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Karen Ryel.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 starting at 2pm at Nancy Amers house, 103 Walnut St, Geneva, OH 44041. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Rick's life.
