Rise Ann Varshine, 81, of Kingsville, OH passed away at her home on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Rise was born on July 21, 1942, in New Kensington, PA to parents Elaine and Stanley Phillips.
She married Rudolph Varshine on February 3, 1962.
She is survived by her husband, Rudolph Varshine; two daughters, Joan (Wes) Parker of Shelby, NC and Diane (Tim) Bender of East Palestine, OH; 18 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; siblings, Ronald (Mary) Phillips of Rhode Island, Rene (Gisale) Phillips, Stanley Phillips, and Mattelin Smith (Mark Farneth).
Preceding her in death were her parents, Elaine and Stanley Phillips; grandson, Stephen Bender.
Rise attended Bethel Bible Church in Jefferson, OH and over the years, enjoyed being involved in various Bible Study groups. This was the perfect combination of her love for friendship and God's word. She was known to go out of her way to both make a new friend and intentionally share her faith.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 10:00am to 12 noon at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio. Following the viewing, a memorial luncheon will be held at 12:30pm at Bethel Bible Church, 877 East Beech Street, Jefferson, Ohio 44047.
