Robert A. Caruthers, 52, of Denmark Township, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024. He was born in Madison, Ohio, on September 15, 1972, the son of Samuel and Barbara (Drew) Caruthers.
Robert graduated from Geneva High School in 1993. He enjoyed many hobbies, such as fishing, camping, collecting arrowheads with his dad, drawing, and woodworking. He took much pride in the time he spent serving in the Army and would often reflect on it. Robert had a soft spot for animals, frequently bringing home stray cats, and he would tell everyone, "They followed him home; what could he do?" Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his son.
His loving family survives him; his son Robert (Ashley Wahl) Caruthers and his grandson Anthony James Caruthers. His Siblings: Samuel (Rochelle) Caruthers, Kimberly Caruthers, and Kathleen (Roger) Caruthers; his Niece and Nephews: Nekko, Michael, Sammy, Elizabeth, Zachary, and his great-nieces Winona May and Denise Carol.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Barbara Caruthers.
In keeping with his wishes, a celebration of life will be held in the coming summer months.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Ashtabula Animal Protective League.
