Robert Joseph "Joe" Smith, 59, of Ashtabula, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic.
He was born March 23, 1965, in Painesville, Ohio to the late Robert B. and Anna Lucille Smith and graduated from Madison High School. On May 23, 1991, Joe married Debra R. Shepard and together they shared 33 years of love and memories.
Joe worked for 30 years at Midwest Materials in Perry, Ohio and 6 years as a bus driver for the Ashtabula Area City Schools. In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and playing the guitar in many area bands over the years.
He is survived by his wife, Debra R. Smith; daughter, Alexandria R. Smith; grandsons, Myles Smith and Elliot Schwentker; sisters, Joyce (Mark) Darrow, Linda Cirino, and Judy Maynard.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Robert B. and Anna Lucille Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4pm-7pm on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Lake Shore Park "Tourist" Pavilion off of State Road.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
