Robert P. Matkovic

Robert P. Matkovic, 72, of Euclid, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, on January 9, 1954, to Helen and Carl Matkovic, Robert lived a life that touched the hearts of so many. He proudly served his country as a United States Navy veteran, a service that will always be remembered with gratitude and respect.

Robert enjoyed the things that made life special to him, especially golfing, playing darts, and shooting pool. These were more than just hobbies; they were opportunities to enjoy life, share laughs, and make memories. Robert had a place in the lives of many people who cared about him.

Robert was loved by so many, and he will be missed more than words can express. His passing leaves a sadness in the hearts of all who knew him, but the memories he created and the love people had for him will live on. Some people leave behind more than memories; they leave a lasting mark on the hearts of others. Robert was one of those people.

He leaves behind his sister, Sandra Culver (Darrick); his nephew, John Dodge Jr. (Christie); and his great-niece, Gigi, and great-nephew, Joe, along with so many dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Helen; his beloved father, Carl; and his brother, Carl G. Matkovic.

Though saying goodbye is never easy, we can find comfort in knowing that Robert's life mattered, that he was cared for deeply, and that he made a difference in the lives of so many. He will be remembered for the time shared, the memories made, and the love that will remain long after his passing.

His absence will be felt by many, but he will never be forgotten. He will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved him.

Fair winds and following seas, Robert. Thank you for your service to our country. May you find peace and rest, knowing you were loved by so many and will be remembered always.

Until we meet again, may you rest peacefully.

We are currently coordinating a Celebration of Life and will provide further updates as they become available.
