Roger W. Peck Sr., 90, of Ashtabula, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Hospice House in Cleveland, OH. He was born on May 4, 1934, in New Lyme, OH, to parents Jerald and Ruby (Bargoon) Peck, and attended Deming School, where he graduated from in 1952. Roger wed Rosemary Lid on June 20, 1964, in Brecksville, OH, and the two of them spent the next 60 years together. Roger worked for several years delivering coal for Flower Coal Company and worked for Sidley Cement. In the early 70's, he started Roger W. Peck Builders, where he built homes, did additions, and remodeling. Roger was a lifelong member of the NRA and was a former member of Dusty Boots, he loved all animals and always took in stray cats. He and Rosemary had 4 horses that they enjoyed showing at different local horse shows and fairs where Roger had won many trophies for his horsemanship and showmanship. Roger is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Lid) Peck; children, Brenda Chutas, Patty Nichols of Geneva, Betty Tranchida of Austinburg, and Roger W. Peck Jr. Of Germany; grandchildren, Nathan, Wendi, Jaime, Stephanie, Justin, Bradley, Vito, Naomi, Steven, along with several great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Jerome. He was preceded by in death by his parents, Jerald and Ruby Peck; grandson (at birth), Dominic Tranchida; and sister, Geraldine Jerome. There will be a celebration of life luncheon at 11:30am on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at East Presbyterian Church, 3440 Edgewood Drive, Ashtabula, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Roger's name to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave, Ashtabula, OH, 44004 or the Ashtabula County APL, 5970 Green Rd, Ashtabula, OH 44004.
