Ronald Othmer Dompier, 75, of Orwell, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 9, 2022 at his home.
He was born June 23, 1947 in Colville, Washington to the late Wilfred and Mary Elizabeth (Schulte) Dompier. After honorably serving 4 years in the U.S Marine Corps, Ron went on to graduate from Irvine College.
Ron was a simple man who loved traveling and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings, Doug (Jeanne) Dompier, Tom (Mimi, deceased) Dompier, Debi (Richard, deceased) Cogar, Scott (Denise) Dompier, and Donald Dompier; brother-in-law, Brad Cook; nieces and nephews, Kim Dompier, Justin Cook and Cory (Jackie) Cook.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred and Mary Elizabeth (Schulte) Dompier; sister, Barbara Cook on 3-31-2021.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt "Thank You" to the residents of Jeremy Park for being such good neighbors to Ron.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 103 N. Maple Street, Orwell, Ohio 44076 on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00 am. He will be buried with his parents at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Brook Park, Ohio.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
