Ronald R. Hogan "Ronny", "Sweets", "Sweetwater", "The Reg", age 57, of Willoughby, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, at Lake West surrounded by loved ones. He was born on January 3, 1967, in Painesville, Ohio to Esther Mae Lyons. Ronny was a graduate of Harvey High School in Painesville, Ohio and dedicated his life to working with youth and volunteered for many years working with the Painesville Little League. He was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan and loved to cook and grill. Ronny is survived by his best friend and former wife, Dawn Hogan (Moberg); children, Xavier Hogan, Oshai Hogan, Cherrell Hogan, and Casey Kidd; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; siblings, Gloria Alexander, Davine Alexander and Katrina Hogan. Also surviving are many nephews, nieces, extended family and previous wife, Carole Kidd. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esther Mae Lyons, Thomas McClain, and Allen Alexander; brother, Gregory Alexander; in laws, George and Nancy Moberg. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10:00am-12:00pm with a service directly following at New Hope Baptist Church, 428 W Jackson St., Painesville, Ohio 44077. There will be light refreshments provided immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to Painesville Little League, 671 Glenwood Dr., Painesville, Ohio 44077. Please wear Cleveland Browns gear or your favorite sports team to celebrate Ronny.
