Ronald Lee Mikesell, 78, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at his home in Jefferson, Ohio.
He was born on August 25, 1944 to Earl and Betty Mikesell. Ron was a lifelong Ohio resident, living in Jefferson for over 60 years.
Ron was a kind and curious person who loved interacting with others. He didn't judge people, he simply accepted them as they were. He enjoyed sharing his vast knowledge with friends and family.
Ron lived life on his own terms – he was true to himself no matter the subject. He was never afraid to try something new, even if there was a chance for failure (how better to learn, right ?). Ron was an entrepreneur, having started and run multiple endeavors (dairy farming, mechanical repair shop, recycling, rental properties, trucking company). His true passion was farming and tractors. He loved Massey Ferguson tractors, his "Big Red" Western Star and being outside exploring.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents. He is leaving behind the love of his life, Brenda, his brother Dale (Brenda) and sister Ginny (Lee). Ron has five children: Kim (Kevin), Tanya (Larry), Sonya (Jon), Ron Jr. (Dodie), and Heather (Chip), 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Ron's family and friends are going to miss him sooo much.
A celebration of life party in honor of Ron will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the family home.
Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
