Obituary

Ronald J. Osborne, 84, of Harpersfield, Ohio passed away peacefully at his family home on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
He was born April 16, 1939, in Carlisle, West Virginia to Gertrude and Elmer Osborne. Ron honorably served in the U.S. Army from June 11, 1962 to June 2, 1964 in Germany with the 12th Transportation Company and received a citation as a Sharpshooter (Rifle M-1). On August 25, 1962, he married Judy Perry and together they shared 61 years of love and marriage.
Ron was a retired assembler for Caterpillar in Mentor, Ohio and a retiree from Willoughby-Eastlake Middle School where he worked as a night supervisor. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite and was also proud to receive his 45-year pin from the Masonic Temple Lodge 28 in Painesville, Ohio. The activities he enjoyed were bowling, driving his tractors, working on his property, playing music with his friends, and was an avid Browns fan. But his greatest love was being with his family and friends.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 61 years, Judy Osborne; his beloved children, Jayne (Ed) Pristov of Harpersfield, Ohio and Ronald "Jay" (Lisa) Osborne, Jr. of Mentor, Ohio; his dearly beloved granddaughters, Katie (Chris) Hager, Kristyn (Kevin) Heagerty, Cassidy Pristov, Victoria Osborne, and Andrea Osborne; beloved grandsons, Eddie Pristov and Nicholas Osborne; dearest great-grandchildren, Charlotte Heagerty and Noah Heagerty.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Elmer Osborne; beloved sisters, Opal Riser, Ocie Smith, and Ardith Ellis; beloved brothers, Elmer "Boots" Osborne, Donald R. Osborne (his twin brother), and Buck Osborne.
