Rose Helen Dumperth, 95, of Plymouth Township, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, July 29, 2022. She was born March 12, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to Andrew and Mary Bukvic.
She attended Jane Addams High School until she quit to help support the family. From the age of 16, she worked at various factory jobs, including the Chevrolet plant, where she met her husband Richard H. Dumperth. Richard and Rose were wed February 16, 1952 and recently celebrated 70 years of marriage.
After marriage, she stayed at home to raise their 5 children, relocating to Ashtabula County in 1953. She was a dedicated cook who loved to feed people, and was especially known for her pies. Even in her last months, she was still calling "come for supper."
At the age of 65, Rose learned to play the stand-up bass and joined her family in playing Gospel hymns in the nursing homes for 16 years. She loved the Lord and was a sweet and loving role model of diligent home-making for her children and grandchildren.
Rose was preceded by her parents, her sister Anne Triantos, and brothers Steven and Andrew Bukivc.
Her family at home included her husband Richard, daughter-in-law Darlene Dumperth, daughter Rita Dumperth, son Ron Dumperth, and granddaughters Leah and Rachel Dumperth. She is also survived by her son Richard (Betsy) Dumperth, daughters Rosanne (Ken) Kropp and Rebecca Lenichek, grandchildren Ken, Matthew, Daniel, and Paul Kropp, Ammi Moore, Naomi Simpson, Elisabeth, John, Esther, and Josiah Lenichek, Hannah Babb, 17 great-grandchildren, brothers Joseph and Edward Bukvic and numerous nieces and nephews.
