Roy Reuben Wagner Jr, 77, of Rock Creek, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at UH Geneva Medical Center.

He was born May 20, 1945 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to Roy and Bertha (Morrison) Wagner. Roy grew up in Pennsylvania, where he met his wife, Patricia McGowan. They were married on November 28, 1964 and raised 3 children together.

After graduation, he moved to Cleveland where he found employment as a diesel mechanic for Conrail. He joined the Trumbull Township Volunteer Fire Department in 1975 when he moved to Ashtabula County. Roy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rock Creek. He enjoyed listening to country music, watching trains, and he enjoyed helping others and was always there when someone needed help. He had an uncanny ability to make someone smile or laugh.

Survivors include his children, Pattiann (John) Crites, Roy (Melody) Wagner III, and Jennifer Wagner; two grandchildren Cody and Colton Wagner and his siblings, Louise Capitosti, Donald Wagner, Kenneth Wagner, Lewis Wagner and Jim Wagner.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia in 2013, his parents, and a brother, Ronald Wagner.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, OH, 44041 from 2 pm to 4 pm.
