Ruthann Jacobs, 85, of Mentor, Ohio, passed away T\uesday, September 27, 2022, at Grand River Healthcare in Painesville, Ohio. She was born July 23, 1937, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Richard F. and Edythe J. (Hawkins) Harding. On January 31, 1959, she married Robert L. Jacobs and together they shared 63 years of love and memories. Ruth was a lifelong caregiver devoted to the care of those no longer able to care for themselves. She was a loving wife and mother and devoted her life to taking care of her husband and children and especially enjoyed cooking and bake for them.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert L. Jacobs of Mentor, Ohio; sons, Mark (Barbara) Jacobs of Perry, Ohio, Robert Timothy (Stephanie) Jacobs of Manistee, Michigan, Jeffrey (Jacqueline) Jacobs of Chesterfield, Michigan, James (Beth) Jacobs of Quinton, Virginia, and Scott (Kim) Jacobs of Newnan, Georgia; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; brother, Harold (Alice) Harding.
Preceding her in death was her father, Richard F. Harding in 1988; mother, Edythe J. (Hawkins) Harding in 2014; son, Richard Alan Jacobs in 1984; and grandson, Jeffrey Paul Jacobs, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville, Ohio.
The family wishes to extend a special and heartfelt "Thank You" to Barb Borelli, the daughter she never had, for all her love and care through the years, and to the staff at Grand River Healthcare for all their love and care. Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
