Ruth Lillian (Sanders) Leasure, 85, of Painesville, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, November 14, 2022.
She was born February 17, 1937 in Painesville, Ohio, to the late Clifford and Mary (Folk) Sanders.
Ruth was a lifelong area resident and worked for many years as a cashier in the grocery industry, retiring from Giant Eagle, Inc., where she was a proud member of the UCFW Local 880.
She is survived by her children, Robert Jr. (Kathy) Leasure, James Leasure, Jodie Love, and Thomas (Kim) Leasure; grandchildren, Bob, Jeff and Chris Coy, Robert III, Jeremy and Dylan Leasure, Heather and Mike Love, Rachel Slabe, Serena Burton, Teresa and Brandon Hobbs; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bertha Girdler; brothers, Richard and Michael Sanders.
Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Dixie Leasure Miller; parents, Clifford and Mary (Folk) Sanders; sister, Helen Curran; brothers, Clifford, Cecil, Roy, Henry, Gerald and Robert Sanders; former spouse, Robert Leasure Sr.
A Celebration of Life and interment will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, July 29, 2023 in Madison Memorial Cemetery (AKA Arcola Cemetery), 3055 Arcola Road, Madison, OH 44057.
