Sandra Kay Cartwright

Sandra "Sandy" Kay Cartwright, 80, passed away at the U.H. Geneva Medical Center, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, with loving family and devoted care team surrounding her.

She was born on February 26, 1946, to her mother, Charlotte Erdman and her father, Frank Erdman in the city of Cleveland, Ohio. Sandra was born alongside eight other siblings, two brothers and six sisters, herself being the eighth of nine.

She grew up surrounded by a fun and loving family. With lasting beautiful memories of her siblings and her mother and father. Her education was simple, completed with a GED. Sandy became a dedicated wife and mother.

She is survived by her children, Sandra (Harold), Theresa (Robert), Jonathan, David Jr (Marcia), Melissa; and stepdaughter, Angela; Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, David A Cartwright Sr.

She spent her years as a strong, resilient woman. A loving and dedicated mother, deemed by family as a domestic engineer. Sandy had a contagious sense of humor and loved to keep everyone laughing and smiling. Her hobbies included crafting, donating to various charities over the years, gift making, party throwing, collecting angels, Elvis Presley memorabilia, butterflies and hot air balloons. Sandy was a Christian in faith. Her free and joyful spirit touched the hearts of many on her journey.

Family will be having a celebration of life at a later date; all are welcome to come and truly celebrate the life of this incredible lady. The details will be announced by family online on Facebook.
