Shirley Brewer, age 79, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Rae Ann Nursing Facility. She was born on June 16, 1944, in Ashtabula, OH, the daughter of Forest and Doris (Edmiston) Misener. Shirley worked for Mr. C's in Austinburg, then worked for Bowdlers Super Duper in Jefferson for many years. After the store closed, she obtained her real estate license and worked for Coldwell Banker until retirement. She enjoyed shopping, family gatherings, and spending time with her granddaughter and great granddaughters. Shirley was the most loving and devoted mother. She liked to cook and spend time with family and friends. She is survived by her sons, James and Forest L. Brewer; granddaughter, Heather (Brewer) Mullins; and two great granddaughters. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Brewer in 2013; her father, Forest; mother, Doris; brother, Harold (Dutch) Misener; and her two sisters, Ardene and Flora. The family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve, and the nurses, aids, and staff of Rae Ann. At the request of Shirley, there will be no calling hours or services.
