Stephen "Steve" F. Berecek, age 84, of Garrettsville, Ohio, passed away Sept. 6th, 2022, at University Hospital Portage with his family by his side. Steve was born August 30th, 1938, to parents Steve and Frances (Palakovich) Berecek in Nutwood, Ohio. Steve attended Brookfield High School, then went on to go to trade school to learn tool and die. Shortly after, Steve married his sweetheart, Paulette (Warner) Berecek on July 12th, 1978, they enjoyed 44 years together building their family and making memories together. Steve retired from Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg after 30 years, he was a tool and die Supervisor. In his spare time and after retirement, Steve enjoyed woodworking, watching the Cleveland Browns, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Steve is survived by his loving wife Paulette, his children; Dean Berecek, Rachelle Wheeler, Francine (Dave) Berecek, Timothy Berecek (Jackie), Andy Berecek (Kayla), and Steve (Barb) Berecek, his grandchildren; Matthew, Megan, Jessica, Stevie, Rose, Sarah, and Ruby, and several great grandchildren. Steve is also survived by his siblings; Paul, Annie, Sophia, and Christina, and his very close friends; Terry and Joanne Herr. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Peter Berecek (2021). In keeping with Steve's wishes there will be no calling hours held.
