Stewart James White (Jim), age 96, of Painesville Township, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Reserve Care Hospice Center in Cleveland.
He was born on September 27, 1929, in Painesville, Ohio to the late Merwin and Senia White and graduated from T. W. Harvey High School in 1948.
On June 17, 1950, he married his high school sweetheart, Jeannette Ann Herroon, and together they shared many years of love and memories until her passing.
As a young man, Jim sailed on the Great Lakes on an ore boat with Columbia Transportation. He later was employed as a pipefitter/welder and worked at Diamond Shamrock until it closed. He then joined Pipefitters Local 120 and was a member for 46 years until his retirement. When not working, he was an avid golfer, loved fishing and boating on Lake Erie, and stargazing at Observatory Park in Montville. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida for the winter.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Judith and Janis of Painesville and son, Jason.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette; daughter, Jill Ann; parents, Merwin and Senia White; brother, Richard; beloved Labrador Retriever, Bandit.
Per his wishes, there will be no service.
