Susan Elizabeth Chapin, 68, of Greene, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her home in Greene, OH, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on March 23, 1956, in Chicago, Illinois to parents Charles and Doris Baer and married John Chapin on January 16, 1982, in Windsor, OH. Susan worked as a manager at McCarthy Village, which later on became Jeremy Park and Majors Crossing. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and she also pioneered 4 years with Jehovah's Witnesses. Susan is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Alan Chapin; children, Joshua D. (Teresa) Wiberg, and Hannah E. (Frank D.) Paratore; grandchildren, Sydney A. Wiberg, Emily E. Wiberg, Zoey R. Wiberg, and Micah A. Paratore; and sister, Cheryl A. West. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris L. Baer and Charles R. Baer; daughter, Rebecca S. Schmidt; grandparents Alfred and Elizabeth Riser; and brother, Charles A. Baer. A Memorial Service will take place on March 29th at 3pm at Greene Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses , 7995 Dennison Ashtabula Rd., Cortland, Ohio. 44410.
