Susan Young (Davis), age 73, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026. She was born on September 12, 1952, and lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and quiet strength.
Susan was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Glenn Young, with whom she shared 50 years of deep love and partnership. Together, they built a life rooted in mutual respect, devotion, and enduring companionship. She was a loving mother to her son, Brett Young, and a cherished sister to Gale Davis and Kenneth Davis.
Professionally, Susan worked as an accountant and also served as a church secretary, where her reliability and gentle presence touched many. She later became a job coach for young adults with disabilities, a role that reflected her generous spirit and commitment to helping others live fuller, more independent lives.
Susan was deeply spiritual and found meaning in her practice as a Sufi. She was actively involved with the Fraternity of Light and devoted time to meditation and personal growth. She found joy and peace in nature, and she had a deep appreciation for the arts and music.
Those who knew Susan will remember her as a kind, calm, and grounded soul. She had a patient heart, a warm smile, and an openness that made others feel seen and supported. She had a rare ability to bring comfort simply through her presence, and she was always willing to help anyone in need.
A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Lake Erie Bluffs Shelter in Perry, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the beautiful life she lived.
Susan’s legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely and the lives she touched so deeply.
