Terry Arden Hefner, 84, of Unionville, Ohio passed away at his home on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
He was born July 3, 1940 in Jefferson, Ohio to Leslie and Ruth Hefner and graduated from Jefferson High School. After honorably serving 2 years in the U.S. Army in Germany he returned home and shortly after married Carol Vernick on July 9, 1966, and together they shared 58 years of love and memories.
Terry worked 43 years for RW Sidley as a Crane Operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Cleveland sports (Browns, Indians, Cavs), NASCAR Racing, and doing yardwork on his John Deere tractor. However, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Vernick) Hefner; daughters, Carolyn Willis, Cindy (John) Phillips; grandchildren, Rhianna (Joseph) Carrero, Codie Willis and Cailyn Phillips; great-grandson, Kyson Carrero; sister, Patricia (Richard) Haines.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Ruth Hefner; siblings, James Hefner, Gertrude Bartle, Harriet Mountain and Robert Hefner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service. He will be laid to rest in Harpersfield Cemetery.
