Thomas Raymond Heston, 79, of Pierpont, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2026.

Born on April 6, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan, Tom was the son of John and Arlene (Hill) Heston. He graduated from Mentor High School in 1965 and continued his education at Lake Erie College for two years.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. During his service, he was stationed in Bitburg, Germany for four years.

Following his military service, Tom enjoyed a long and dedicated career. He worked for Sears from 1970 to 1971, Sun Finance from 1971 to 1973, and then spent nearly four decades with Lincoln Electric in Euclid, Ohio, where he worked from 1973 until his retirement in 2012 as a Group Leader.

On September 11, 1971, Tom married the love of his life, Robin Roediger, at Mentor Plains United Methodist Church. Together they shared over 54 years of marriage, living in Perry for many years before making their home in Pierpont for the past decade.

Tom found his greatest joy outdoors. Fishing was his lifelong passion, and he also loved golfing with family, camping, watching NASCAR, mowing the lawn, and archery. He was a member of the Methodist faith and will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet nature, and the time he cherished with family and friends.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Robin Heston of Pierpont; his daughter, Heather Heston (Nick Thompson) of Madison; his son, Scott Heston of Rock Creek; his sister, Vicki Struhar; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Arlene Heston; grandparents, John and Florence Heston, and Dale and Ida Hill; sister Suzann Shulz (Mike); and brother, Paul Heston (Vicki).

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 6-8pm at Lake Erie Cremation & Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Rd, Geneva, OH 44041.
