Thomas Garry Reading Jr. passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025at the age of 68.     Born to Thomas and Shirley Reading in 1956, he was the second child and only son of their four children. Garry graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1975 and was preparing to celebrate their 50th Reunion. Garry loved all things boats, was passionate about Shaker Heights Hockey and had a lifelong devotion to his dogs.
Garry is preceded in death by both parents, Thomas and Shirley Reading.  He is survived by his three sisters Margaret (Andrew) of Mentor, Ohio, Jane (James) Bemmerl of Phoenix, AZ and Ann Reading of Burlington, VT; nephews Scott (Emily) Kolmer of Phoenix, AZ and Thomas Goetz (Samantha) of Moreland Hills; nieces Kristi (Brandon) Kawal of Phoenix, AZ and Katherine (Anthony) Caione, of Lyndhurst, Ohio; Kathy, Gordon and Vicki Hart longtime friends who supported him throughout his life.
A Remembrance of Life will be held October 4, 2025 in Shaker Heights. Please reach out to family for information. Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services, 1500 Harpersfield Road, Geneva, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.
