Todd Michael Dudley, 54, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2026, at his apartment in Shaker Heights. He was born on February 27, 1972, in Warren, Ohio, to Betty Hill Dudley and David Dudley.
Todd was a graduate of Grand Valley High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from DePaul University. He built a career in the financial industry in Chicago, earning professional certifications that allowed him to trade stocks and bonds. He was recognized with an Illinois International Fellow Award to study in Japan through Chicago State University.
Todd had a wide range of interests and loved staying active. He enjoyed high school football, traveling, and attending financial and real estate seminars throughout the United States. He was curious, adventurous, and always eager to learn and experience something new.
Todd proudly served four years in the United States Navy as an Electrician and Electronics Technician, an experience that reflected his commitment, discipline, and dedication to others. He was also a Christian and carried his faith with him throughout his life.
He is survived by his siblings, David Dudley, Delton Dudley, Harold Dudley, Betty Willis, Denise Collins, and Nancy Dudley, along with extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Hill Dudley and David Dudley; grandparents Minnie Cash, Carl Caton, and Rev. Luther F. Hill; and siblings Carol Dudley and Diane King.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Orwell Memorial American Legion Post #719, 215 N. Maple Street, Orwell, Ohio 44076. Immediate family will greet visitors from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., followed by a time from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. for family and friends to share memories and words in Todd’s honor.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered love, comfort, support, prayers, and kindness during this time. Special appreciation is extended to George Bryant (his cousin and confidant), Jon Platon (Todd’s best friend), Jerold Moore (Todd’s business partner), and close friend Shelly Small.
