Veronica I. "Ronnie" Wood, 78, of Geneva, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 in Rae-Ann Geneva Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from cancer.
She was born June 21, 1944 in Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Walter S. and Veronica I. (Greene) Marrow. In 1979, she married William Wood and together they shared over 40 years of love and memories.
Ronnie worked at Bennett Machine and Stamping in Madison, Ohio for 10 years from 1988-1998, and Third Dimension Corporation in Geneva, Ohio from 1999 until her retirement in 2011 as a Supervisor. She came out of retirement to help her son Walt start W.H. Scrap and Recycling in Geneva where she was active until her illness kept her from working. In her younger years, Ronnie raced cars at the Painesville Speedway in the Powder Puff Division in the #U2 Studebaker.
She is survived by her husband, William E. Wood of Geneva; five children: sons, Robert (Kim), Mike (Gloria), and Walter (Kati) and daughters, Michelle and Kimberly; grandchildren, Noah, Hailey, Ava, and Eric; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; sister, Robin Coleman. Ronnie is also survived by her beloved dog, Ace; grand furbaby, Sasha.
Ronnie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Johnny and Walter; sister, Vivian;
A family Celebration of Life cookout will be announced at a later date.
